Account Manager

 

About the role

The Account Manager position is a strategic position within the organisation. Under the general direction 
of Management, the Account Manager is responsible for management of key accounts that are assigned 
to you as well as selling Hardware / software and recommending solutions. 
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Growing the business by:
    • Ensuring that the company retains its clients
    • Ensuring that the company’s clients are kept satisfied to a sufficiently high standard such that they are able to be used as a reference
    • Growing the company’s business with its client
    • Looking for opportunities to do more business with existing clients in keeping with our strategy
    • Contribute ideas to expand our service offerings
    • Managing the relationship and communication between the decision makers and major influencers at our client, and the company, for all work done for the client including service contracts and projects
    • Ensuring that the client’s expectations of our services are aligned
    • Ensuring that the business understands the clients’ expectations
    • Regularly reporting to the client on the status of their systems and demonstrating that our obligations have been met and that their expectation are being met
  • Pricing projects (as opposed to costing), and pricing and managing service contracts based on costs provided by Delivery Manager, required margin from Commercial management and profit as required by the business plan.
  • Preparation and presentation of all proposals that go out to your clients
  • Forecasting revenue and service needs from existing clients.
  • Work with our Accounts receivable staff and Directors to assist where possible to ensure clients settle their invoices in a timely manner when the normal Accounts receivable process is not working.
  • Keeping the opportunity management system (CRM within ConnectWise) up to date with all opportunities at your clients.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement processes.
  • Be a Strong Team Player and ensure that you are a positive influence to the team environment.
  • Ensure Qbit’s quality standards are followed.
 

Skills & Requirements

  • At least 2 years account management experience within a similar role. 
  • 3 or more years' experience as a technician (Level 2 &3) 
  • Experience with VOIP phone systems would be of advantage
  • Formal qualifications in IT (e.g. Cert 3 or 4) will be very well regarded 
  • Current Drivers Licence is essential

  • Prior experience in a level 3 support role working with managed services (MSP)
  • Current driver's license
  • A clear customer-first approach 
  • Proficiency in the following technologies : 
    • Networking
    • Microsoft Server products
    • Server Virtualisation – ESX & Hyper-V
    • Microsoft Exchange & Microsoft 365, Office 365, Azure
    • Backup and recovery - Datto, VEEAM, Acronis & StorageCraft 
    • VOIP Telephony, 3CX systems
    • Cyberoam / Sophos / SonicWALL
    • Previous project implementation experience will help you within this role

IT Support Engineer - Level 2

 

About the role

This is a full-time position, where you will provide remote support based at our Perth offices as well as on-site support (service vehicle will be provided for these visits).

As a Senior Support Engineer position, you will be an escalation point as well as being involved in Project Scoping and Implementation.
